A. Jeffrey Somers
A. Jeffrey Somers is of counsel to the firm of Leighton, Katz & Drapeau, concentrating in the area of plaintiffs’ personal injury litigation. Attorney Somers received his B. A. degree from Washington and Lee University and his Juris Doctorate degree from Western New England College School of Law. He has been practicing law in Connecticut since 1984 with an emphasis on civil litigation including trials and appeals in the state and federal courts. His previous experience includes a position as a municipal attorney for the City of Meriden, and staff trial attorney for Nationwide Insurance. Attorney Somers has tried nearly one hundred jury cases to conclusion, and has argued appeals before the state Supreme and Appellate Courts. He has lectured on personal injury litigation and insurance coverage issues and has been appointed as an arbitrator and special master by the Connecticut Judicial Branch. He is also frequently appointed as a provider of private alternative dispute resolution services as an arbitrator or mediator. He is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association. |
